I looooooooove that I have some super awesome couples that are braving the cold and getting their engagement photos done this winter!! I was so excited to have our engagement session with Coleton & Elizabeth- when I first met with them a few months ago, it totally felt like I was catching up with old friends! They are the sweetest couple, are always laughing & smiling and so down-to-earth! What could be better!!?! 

We met up in downtown Lynchburg and got some photos on the streets in Lynchburg and then headed over to Percival's Island on the Blackwater Running Trails! 

Macklin & Shannon Engagement || Central VA Photographer

How do I get so lucky?! I seriously get to meet the most amazing couples- and it's my job to hang out with them! I was seriously giddy meeting and getting to know Macklin & Shannon this weekend! They met me out at Boonsboro Country Club after Mike & Emilee's wedding. They were so laid back- with the wedding up in the air due to the weather, we had to move their engagement session date and time and play it by ear.  SO thankful they were so flexible with me in this crazy weekend! ;) 

They are such a cute couple- and they brought their cute puppies for some photos! Love having family pets involved! They are seriously part of the family!! They recently moved out to the Bedford and Central Virginia area for work, and are having their wedding at The Craddock Terry Hotel in Lynchburg, Virginia this October! So excited for their wedding! She's going to make such a gorgeous bride!!

This Fall has been amazing!! The leaves were just so perfectly beautiful this year, the weather has been awesome (I mean, it was practically 70 degrees out today!!!) and I've gotten to meet and get to know some pretty amazing people!! Matthew & Jennifer are getting married in Connecticut next November, and I was so excited to meet them and get their engagement photos taken! We headed out to the Peaks of Otter Lodge in Bedford, Virginia- just a short drive from Lynchburg- and so worth the trip! 

Peaks of Otter Lodge was THE perfect backdrop for us to get some pictures done! There are so many amazing options- the mountains in the background, the water, the light! Everything was just gorgeous! And believe it or not- this couple tried to tell me they were not photogenic when I first met them! Please, help me talk some sense into them! They are such a gorgeous couple!!

There are some seriously amazing hidden places in the Lynchburg, Virginia area! I loooooove finding new and unique places- and was so excited when Casey told me about the Clayton Nature Center in Bedford, Virginia. This place is beautiful and the view is seriously out of this world! It was THE perfect place for their engagement session! 

We had a beautiful day- and Jake & Casey are so cute together! Casey's Mom brought in their cute little pup and she oh was she the perfect addition to our shoot! 

SO excited for Casey & Jake's Wedding next year!! I can already tell it's going to be so much fun!!

Oh man, these engagement photos!!!! I had the hardest time choosing which ones to blog!! 

Mike & Emilee are so much FUN- we laughed throughout the entire session! Sweet Briar College was showing off in all of its Fall color glory- making sure we had TONS of spots for photos! I could have gone around all day with these two!! 

Mike & Em are getting married at Boonsboro Country Club in January- it's going to be beautiful!!! And hopefully, for all of our sakes, not too cold!! haha! 

and GOOOOOOOOOOOOOODNESS!! I am SO in love with this ring!!  Did Mike not do the most amazing job on this?!? Every little detail on this thing is beautiful!!
