I absolutely love engagement sessions, they give us such a unique way to really get to know each other, all while learning how a couple interacts with each other, posing they will use on their wedding day, and it really helps it sink in with couples that they are getting married!!

What a beautiful evening we had for Brian & Emily’s engagement session! We really had the best time- I think we laughed the entire night! We met out at Sweet Briar College- which is gorgeous anytime of the year- but especially in Fall! I cannot wait for their big day!!

These Fall engagement sessions are such a tease- especially for couples as sweet as AJ & Kimberly! I loved getting to know them and hang out with them- but am disappointed we have a year until their wedding day! I know it's going to be so much fun, and Kimberly is going to make the most amazing bride out at The Trivium Estate! 

AJ & Kimberly met me out at Sweet Briar College's campus for their engagement session! I love this location- there's so many different spots for photos- there's always a new location we can shoot at! We dodge some storms, and luckily wrapped up right before it started pouring, but did get a few photos with the umbrella and in the sunshine!

Weekend Update: Farmville Wedding & Sweet Briar Engagement Sessions

Okay, I've pulled out my fall candles and my house is smelling like pumpkin pie, cinnamon, and crisp air. Now, can the weather just finally decide to catch up and cool off a little bit.  Just a little bit- I'm not inviting winter to come anytime soon- or ever really! ;) I know I'm not the only one anxiously awaiting for Autumn- layers, boots, and hot coffee! But, these amazing late summer weekends have brought the most amazing, fun weddings and engagement sessions! 

This weekend was such an honor. I joined Wilson & Whitney for their backyard wedding in Farmville and left with my heart so full of joy and excitement for these two! Through the wedding planning process, Whit and I quickly became friends, which always brings so much more to the wedding for me! It's so fun celebrating with the couple and cheering them on from behind the camera!! I cannot wait to share more from their wedding, but am so excited to share a few sneak peeks from their gorgeous day!! 

Sunday, Michael and I knocked out some small house projects that have been looming over for what seems like forever. It feels so good to complete some things on our forever long house to-do list! And then on Sunday afternoon, I met up with AJ & Kimberly at Sweet Briar College for their engagement session! We were ducking some storms in the area, but yay the weather cleared and it was a fantastic session! These two were seriously a blast to be around- I can't wait for their Trivium Estate wedding next Fall!!

We were supposed to do this engagement a few weeks ago, but the never-ending rain had us rescheduling last minute, and oh we are SO glad that we did!! Alec & Ashley met me last Saturday morning at the beautiful Sweet Briar College and we had so much fun! And goodness you guys- there was SUNSHINE! The sun, this couple- it was seriously magical!! They are getting married out at The Trivium Estate in Forest, VA in July and I cannot wait!! Now, if only you the sun would come back out and STAY out! It'd be amazing!!

Oh man, these engagement photos!!!! I had the hardest time choosing which ones to blog!! 

Mike & Emilee are so much FUN- we laughed throughout the entire session! Sweet Briar College was showing off in all of its Fall color glory- making sure we had TONS of spots for photos! I could have gone around all day with these two!! 

Mike & Em are getting married at Boonsboro Country Club in January- it's going to be beautiful!!! And hopefully, for all of our sakes, not too cold!! haha! 

and GOOOOOOOOOOOOOODNESS!! I am SO in love with this ring!!  Did Mike not do the most amazing job on this?!? Every little detail on this thing is beautiful!!
