Tyler & Sarah: A Fall Mead Lake Lodge Wedding

I love being able to find little glimmers of fall color around for these early fall weddings, and oh man were we able to find fall at Tyler & Sarah’s Wedding! Mead Lake Lodge is a gorgeous, intimate feeling venue in the heart of Central Virginia! It was a perfect location for their sweet wedding day!

Tyler & Sarah had such a sweet first look, and then we explored around the venue with their wedding party, family, and friends for their portraits! They had a beautiful ceremony and such a fun reception!

Congratulations Tyler & Sarah! I hope you guys loved every minute of your special day and are loooooving married life! <3

A weekend Recap: Engagements, Newborns, and a Wedding || Lynchburg, Virginia Photographer

Happy Leap Day! It's a BEAUTIFUL day here in Lynchburg, VA- the sun is shining, it's in the mid-60's and I had a gorgeous, busy weekend full of beautiful people!! I traveled all over Virginia this past weekend- from Richmond to Goode and Bedford, to Tyro and back to Lynchburg! It was exhausting, but oh my goodness- so much fun! I love love LOVE being there to document all these important moments in peoples lives! It's so special to me!! 

My weekend started out with a drive to the Richmond area for some newborn snuggles! Cutie little Brady was born this past week and I was SO EXCITED to get out there for some newborn shots! 

On Saturday, I got to celebrate with Andrew & Allie at their BEAUTIFUL wedding in Goode, and their reception at the Avenel in Bedford, Virginia! Everything about this wedding was gorgeous and their friends and family truly rallied around them and made their day SO special! Allison made such a stunning bride, and you can truly see their love watching them! 

On Sunday I headed out to Pharsalia for Brian & Lindsey's engagement session. They are getting married in a few short months out here and I am SO excited! Phrasally is seriously GORGEOUS and was the perfect backdrop for their photos!

I looooooooove that I have some super awesome couples that are braving the cold and getting their engagement photos done this winter!! I was so excited to have our engagement session with Coleton & Elizabeth- when I first met with them a few months ago, it totally felt like I was catching up with old friends! They are the sweetest couple, are always laughing & smiling and so down-to-earth! What could be better!!?! 

We met up in downtown Lynchburg and got some photos on the streets in Lynchburg and then headed over to Percival's Island on the Blackwater Running Trails! 

Mike & Emilee's Snow Day Elopement: Lynchburg, VA Wedding Photographer

I don't even know where to begin with this post! Mike & Emilee's wedding weekend was crazy stressful with ups and downs and a snow storm that hit the entire east coast and shut down the entire city of Lynchburg, VA.  Their Saturday wedding wasn't going to happen when their venue couldn't keep their roads cleared and couldn't have the liability of having all of their employees brave the snow.  This couple was calm and collected throughout the weekend, and even was featured on the local news! When they realized they couldn't make their wedding happen on Saturday like planned, they decided to drive to their pastor's house (who was stuck in his driveway) and eloped in his yard.  It was such a beautiful ceremony & I loved being there to capture the images from those moments!!  

Then, Mike & Emilee had their full wedding celebration on Sunday morning with their friends and family that could make it! It was so beautiful and I can't wait to share images from their wedding day!  Stay tuned!! yay!

We went to get a Christmas Tree, and Brought Home...

I was totally expecting to be posting about our trip to the Christmas Tree lot, where we pick out a tree and bring it home to decorate. And, I'm sure that blog post will be coming soon, but not today.  Because we left for a Christmas Tree and ended up bringing home... a puppy instead! Ha! 

Meet... MANNING! (#manningthemutt) 

On our way to the Christmas Tree Lot, we decided to stop in at the Lynchburg Humane Society to love on the cats & dogs there.  That's where we met our sweetest new little guy and couldn't leave him there overnight! So, we brought him home that night! 

He's a mutt and a giant mix... mostly a lot of guesses on our side of things, but nothing is really known! Manning has been a great pup so far- crate trained, so good with Emmie, and full of snuggles!! 

And because Em was so excited about her Christmas outfit she talked Michael into... here are a few photos before we got Manning! 

We are so excited about our new puppy.. .and hopefully one of these days we will actually get our Christmas Tree... and I'll be sharing some photos from that too! ;)
