I have been holding on to these photos for what seems like FOREVER, so you know I am so excited to finally be able to share!! Sarah has been a dear friend of mine for a few years now, so when she asked me to photograph her bridal portraits, I was so honored and thrilled!

Sarah looked absolutely STUNNING in her dress!! She has one of those smiles and personalities that just radiates, and she was ALL smiles for her portraits!! Photo day was such a stressful day, she got her hair & makeup done and a huge storm hit right before we were going to meet.  We quickly changed our location to Randolph College, with more tree and building cover in case it kept raining. But, thank goodness, the rain stopped, the sun came out and it was the perfect afternoon for photos!!

I totally have a love/hate thing going on with bridal portraits! I seriously LOOOOOOOVE so many things about them, like the bride getting another chance to get all dolled up, getting a trial run with hair and make-up, and the fact that they are so much fun. But then after the fact I have to keep them top-secret and that is just straight up torture!! haha! 

Coleton & Elizabeth got married on Saturday and oh my gooooooodness it was such a beautiful day! Elizabeth is the sweetest and made the most beautiful bride!! And that means I finally get to share photos from her bridal portraits!!  Thanks to The Trivium Estates in Forest for allowing the perfect spot for these!! 

Lynchburg, Virginia Wedding Photographer: Ches & Meagan's Wedding at Old Pate Chapel

Ohhh yay! So excited to share our first wedding of 2016! With the year starting out this way, we just know it's going to be an amazing year!!! Ches & Meagan got married at the Old Pate Chapel in Lynchburg, Virginia (701 Thomas Road) and then had their reception at the Bottling Company! It was a dreary, chilly & misty day- but that didn't damper the fun, love and joy from their celebration! They had adorable details- like her bright blue running shoes, 'Mastiff' themed socks, college team rivals, and their AMAZING dog, Mia, even came for a visit!! 

Ches & Meagan decided to not do a first look & Ches' reaction was by far the sweetest! Him & Meagan were both in tears as she was walking down the aisle with her Dad!

Seriously such a gorgeous, loving & JOYFUL wedding! It was awesome to be a part of and to get to know you guys over the past few months! I loved being there to celebrate with you, not just as a wedding vendor, but now as a friend!! So excited for you guys as you start your new life together! Lynchburg, Virginia Wedding Photographer: Hailey's Bridal Portraits

I looooooooove doing Bridal Portrait Sessions! It is SO much fun getting the Bride all dressed up- without the pressure of the wedding day timeline and the hustle and bustle of friends & family & wedding guests! Plus- who doesn't want another day to wear their beautiful wedding gown! You pay so much money for THE perfect dress, wear it again! Plus, most of my brides end up changing something- it could be as simple as earrings, or lip color- or even as big as changing their hair style! 

Hailey and I got together a few weeks ago for her Bridal Portraits out at the beautiful Trivium Estates in Forest, Virginia! I've been so excited to share these images with you guys! Bailey is so beautiful and makes such a stunning Bride!! And this session is a PERFECT example of how we can still make it work- even in the rain! As soon as we walked outside it started POURING- so we got some photos inside, and on the porch at the Trivium.  The rain cleared just in time for sunset- and we got these AMAZING glowy photos as well!

Bedford, Virginia Wedding Photographer: John & Loran's Wedding Day

I love weddings where the joy of the day just radiates throughout the entire event! Everyone from family members and guests to the officiant to the vendors! John & Loran's wedding day was exactly that! Everyone was SO excited for them, their own happiness was felt by everyone! 

John & Loran got married at The Historic Avenel in Bedford, Virginia. Bedford is just a short drive from the Lynchburg, Virginia area, and has some amazing wedding venues, including the beautiful Avenel! This historical home has some amazing significance to  the groom, and it was so awesome to take photos in and around the bushes he grew up playing hide and seek in! 

John & Loran have 2 little boys and they truly make the most adorable family!! I mean- look at these beautiful boys!!! <3 

LORAN!!!! You are such a stunning bride!!! I agree with you that you HAVE to wear this dress every single day of your life!!!
