Wintergreen Resort Engagement Session || Chase & Courtney

Wintergreen Resort is such a gorgeous spot! I know many people think of this being an area to visit in the winter for skiing or tubing- but goodness this is such a pretty spot in the summer & fall as well! You can't even compete with their overlook- you feel like you can see the entire world from this one spot! 

I was so excited when Chase & Courtney decided they wanted to do their engagement session at Wintergreen! It was perfect with the timing of the leaves changing colors and the stunning fall light! We had so much fun & I loved getting to know these two! They're getting married in 2018 at the Melrose Caverns Lodge in Harrisonburg & I know we're going to have a blast!!

Mountain Top Wedding || Craig & Carrie's Wintergreen Resort Wedding

Y'all. I freaking love Virginia. All of it. I grew up on the coast of Virginia, and now live in Lynchburg, which is Central Virginia. You can't go wrong here! With just a few hours drive you can go from the mountains, to the ocean, to large cities, our nation's capital! There's so much to take advantage of! It's no secret that I love the beach, but goodness, a ceremony on the top of a mountain, where you just see layers upon layers of the blue ridge parkway! 

Craig & Carrie's wedding day was SO gorgeous! Their families rented some GORGEOUS houses on the mountain, where they were able to get ready with their families and friends. I loved how laid back they both were! I strive so hard for my brides & grooms to be calm & collected and not stressed out on their big day so they can actually enjoy everything, so when a Bride is trusting and just excited for the day, it makes everything so amazing! 

Their ceremony at the overlook at The Wintergreen Resort was seriously stunning. The view is breath-taking from up there! They had the sweetest first look, where they exchanged gifts and then took photos with their wedding parties before the ceremony began! Congrats you two! Enjoy your relaxing honeymoon at the Sanderling Resort!!

When I dream of a gorgeous backyard wedding, THIS is exactly what I dream of! A backyard on a mountaintop, overlooking the entire city of Lynchburg, surrounded by gorgeous greenery, friends and family! Such a beautiful day from start to finish! Barrett & Isabelle's wedding was gorgeous! They got married at their childhood home nestled in Lynchburg, Virginia with THE most amazing views of the city that you've ever seen! 

One of the things that Isabelle loves most about Barrett is that he can always make her laugh- and goodness could you tell on their wedding day.  They were both so happy and carefree, it was such a blast!

Oh I'm so excited to be sharing these photos from Shannon & Macklin's Summer Engagement session!! It was a gorgeous evening with the most amazing, glowy light with the gorgeous mountains in the background!! It was so much fun to get together with them in the warm weather- especially because they had a winter engagement session in January after the snow! Joel & Kayla Engaged! || Lynchburg Wedding & Portrait Photographer

As I'm writing this, the sun is shining (FINALLYYYYYY), it's seriously warm outside (well, hellllllo summertime!!! I've been waiting for you all year!), and my pre-schooler is home and is napping (that NEVER happens anymore) so I started Happy Hour a little early and popped open a bottle of wine that this amazing couple gifted me.  Yes, you heard that right.. they gifted it to me!!!! These two just have the sweetest hearts ever! 

This couple had the best attitudes ever.  We planning on meeting up at Thunder Ridge off the Blue Ridge Parkway on Sunday afternoon, which was a beautiful day.. up until we pulled into the parking lot.  It started POURING. It was dreary and foggy and COLD.  But we took advantage of it and used that fog to our advantage and goodness did it give us some amazing photos!! Then, the sun finally came out, lit up all the fog and we got a glimpse of that stunning view!!
